Meet the Team

Dennis Bailey
Executive Chairman
Bio
He grew up in the shop, learning the trade from the ground up. That early start shaped his approach. Do the work right, treat people well, and earn trust that lasts for generations.
Dennis is known for solving problems others can’t and for building real relationships with customers who have called on National Economy for decades. Around here, he’s not just fixing plumbing. He’s taking care of neighbors.
Outside of work, you’ll find him at the Men’s Power Breakfast at Faith Baptist Church, on the golf course, or traveling with his wife. No matter where he is, Memphis is home and the work still matters.

Benjie Sneed
President
Bio
He didn’t inherit the job. He earned it. Benjie worked his way up from the ground level, learning every part of the trade and developing a sharp eye for the quirks and character of Memphis homes.
He takes pride in keeping the family legacy strong and in working alongside the next generation. For Benjie, this business has always been about doing the work right and taking care of people.
When he’s not on the job, you’ll find him out on his tree farm or listening to great music. Both are part of the same rhythm he brings to his work every day.

Bryce Gaugh
Vice President
Bio
He first connected with National Economy through the church community and quickly became part of the NEP family. Today, he helps oversee the big picture of the business while supporting the people who keep the day to day work running smoothly.
What he loves most about Memphis is the culture and variety, from Beale Street and great food to the balance between city life and the outdoors. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him riding his Harley, spending time at church, working out at the gym, fishing or hunting.

Glenn Brand
Service Coordinator
Bio
He’s built and sold property, coordinated service for a sheet metal company, owned and sold restaurants, and flipped houses. That experience shows up in how he works. He understands both the technical side and what customers actually need.
A Memphis native, Glenn joined the team in 2019 and quickly became a steady hand behind the scenes, making sure jobs stay on track and customers are taken care of.
When he’s not at work, he’s in the gym or out growing fruit, especially apples and peaches. Ask him about it and he’ll tell you he’s still chasing the perfect peach.

Jessi Sneed
Operations Manager
Bio
Plumbing isn’t just her job. It’s family. Jessi grew up around National Economy, left Memphis to earn her graduate degree in Organizational Leadership, then came home to be part of what shaped her from the start.
She loves serving a city where people still know their neighbors and take pride in where they live. You’ll find that same pride in how she runs the team every day.
When she’s off the clock, Jessi is usually at Shelby Farms Park, digging through local vintage shops, grabbing something fresh at City Silo Table + Pantry, or cheering on the Memphis Grizzlies.
She’s been part of National Economy her whole life and officially on the team for over four years. That perspective shows up in everything she does.

Johnny Hayman
Field Supervisor
Bio
Plumbing runs in his blood. His dad worked at National Economy before him, and now his son is part of the team too. Three generations, all doing the work right.
Johnny thrives on the variety. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly how he likes it. Give him a challenge and he’ll figure it out.
When he’s off the job, you’ll find him at football games or checking out Memphis restaurants, cheering on both Ole Miss and the Memphis Tigers.

Kevin Luke
Field Supervisor
Bio
His path wasn’t straight, but it was earned. Kevin first worked with the team more than 30 years ago, spent time traveling and living in the Caribbean, then returned to Memphis and found his way back to the trade. He’s been a steady presence ever since.
He knows the work, but more importantly, he values the people. Kevin takes pride in serving Memphis homeowners and leading a team that shows up and gets it done right.
When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him at the dog park with his two boxers or on the road supporting his daughter at dance competitions.

Lisa Counce
Bookkeeper & HR Manager
Bio
She joined the company after answering a job ad and quickly found what a lot of people do here. It feels like family. Since calling Memphis home, she’s taken pride in supporting a team that shows up for this city every day.
Lisa cares about the people just as much as the process, and that shows in how she supports both the business and the team.
When she’s not at the office, you’ll find her kayaking, cooking something good, or cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.

Risë Rivera
Purchasing Manager
Bio
She got her start in plumbing at 18, working in a family-run shop built to give plumbers access to affordable parts. That mindset still shows up in how she works today. Straightforward, helpful, and focused on getting it right.
Raised in East Memphis, Rise takes pride in serving the same community she’s always called home. Even the sound of the trains nearby feels like part of it.
When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her in the garden, with a good book, out dancing, or enjoying Memphis’s local music scene with friends.
With eight years at National Economy, she brings experience, consistency, and true local roots to the team.
